When Germany invaded Poland on September 3rd, 1939, 2 days later Britain declared war on Germany. This was really the spark the put WW2 into full swing. Once Britain had declared war, there was no turning back.
British troops are famous for defying the odds and keeping the Germans at bay no matter what they would throw at the English island. Their aviators were far out numbered but with their superior flying skills, they would take out German aircraft with deadly accuracy.
